Hi there! I’m here to teach you the basics of SEO.

To begin, what is SEO long island?

SEO refers to “Search Engine Optimization”.

Search engine optimization is a process in which you improve your website’s visibility in search engines like Google or Yahoo through a number of tricks and tactics.

It’s important to understand that a third party cannot promote a site for you – not even Google can… Instead, they allow us to influence their rankings algorithm by becoming less reliant on the external links from other websites to determine how “important” our own website is. In the same way that the demand for electricity was once met by established power plants but now relies heavily on small-scale generators scattered throughout homes and offices (and even inside appliances themselves), we can use small tactics to create the “power” we need to make ourselves known to Google and other search engines.

The first step is, of course, to register a domain name: I recommend using Namecheap because they provide .com domains for as low as $2.99/year (first year) – much better than what you’ll find from those shady companies offering free domains through unethical methods. Just type “SEO” in their search box and choose a domain name that suits your business or blog. You can then type it into this page here to check if the domain is available or not.

After registering a domain name, you will also have to install WordPress, an excellent free blogging platform that you can use to create your website. It’s rather simple – just head over to WordPress.org (NOT .com) and download the latest version of the software here – make sure you choose the right one for your hosting provider (unless you’re using Namecheap like me, in which case it should already be pre-selected).

After extracting the zip file on your computer, open up “wp-admin” from inside “wordpress”, enter your email address and password, bookmark this page (so you can come back easily), then click “Let’s go!” You’ll now have a fully functional blog set up with a few sample posts. In order to find out what theme you’re currently using, go to “Appearance” in the left menu and click on “Themes”. As I said, WordPress is free… Or rather, you get what you pay for.

Remember not to delete any of your posts – these will come in handy later when doing link building.

It’s important to note that while WordPress’ default themes are easy to work with and require no coding knowledge to alter its appearance – by simply uploading images or changing text color/font/style – anything more advanced should be done through plugins instead of editing the theme files. They will do much more than just alter how it looks though: they can provide extra features to the site (or remove some if not used properly).

I recommend checking out this page here for popular free plugins, and this page here for premium ones. Unfortunately I haven’t found any “cleaner” alternatives to Adsense or Amazon – both of which provide popups that can annoy visitors into clicking on them. If you find any, let me know in the comments!

Another thing you should do is make sure your website’s internal linking structure is built in a way that makes it easy to move around pages when designing new templates for your blog. WordPress uses something called “Permalinks” which, instead of showing up like this:

You can use your domain name in the form of www.domainname.com/pagename (eg. seospy.blogspot.co.id/my-new-post) to make it easy for people to bookmark certain pages with keywords that they’re more likely to remember, and thus return to them again via search engines without having to type in any complicated URL strings or even knowing what page they were on last time.

Another thing you should do is install Google Analytics, which takes about 5 minutes . It’s free, so there’s no reason not to use it – especially since you’ll want an accurate number when starting your SEO campaign! Once activated, just go into “Admin” and enter your new domain name then click on “Verify domain ownership”. This takes you to Google’s webmaster tools, where you can see things like:

– How many pages of my website were viewed (in the last 30 days)

– Which pages get the most views

– What countries visitors come from

You don’t even need to make any changes here; just make sure everything looks fine. If there are any problems, they’ll be shown to you so that you can fix them before Google starts sending traffic your way! The next step is creating articles for readers to enjoy… But I’ll leave that to another post . For now, feel free to share this with anyone who could use it. Good luck!

The website has been created in a manner so that people with no seo/ blogging experience still can understand it.

Keep in mind this is just to use as knowledge, not to be copied verbatim. Cheers!
